Beginning, Middle & End

In my opinion, every movie has a beginning a middle and an end. For example, the movie White Chicks is set up into a middle and end. The beginning of the movie gives the audience the set up of sophisticated beverlly hill sisters who do notthing but try and be perfect but as the middle of the movie comes, two men discize themselves as the girls and while trying to keep character they work as "undercover cops" to try and solve the biggest case of their carrers. The resolution, or end of the  movie comes when the case is solved and people fall in love and everyone who deserved it had a happy ending. I would use my life as a beginning middle and end example, but I feel like I am still in the beginning getting close to the middle, and there is hopefully still alot more to add to my life movie before the end. Any film idea would have a begginning middle and end. My idea of a film would be to have a mother and son reunite. The beginning would be how both live their lives separately but want to see each other . The middle would be how the mother travels around the world to try and find her son . She leaves flyers and pictures, and one day one phone call changed her life forever. The resolution to my film would be the mother meeting wiht the son and them never getting separated anfter they were united.

Undeserved Misfortune

In the movie, The Notebook, the undeserved misfortune would be the heart break of actor, Ryan Gosling, when he finds out that the love of his life, Rachael McAdams, is married to another man.He audience knows whats set up for him but he does not. In life I have had many instances in which something happens to me that I do not deserve, undeserved misfortune. My life is miserable sometimes because of my younger sister. She always does things that she is not supposed to and even though I know it was her my mom blames me because I am the first she sees after my sister has done something. An idea for film would be a "nerd" who gets in trouble almost every single day because of the bullies at school. The audience know that the bullies are the ones that cause all the disasters at school, but the "nerd" does not stand up for himself resulting in his undeserved misfortune.

Conflict

There are different forms of conflict that can be involved in movies, or in real life. In the movie, 50 First Dates, the conflict is a person against reality.  After having her accident, she only replays her life in one day. Her family and her boyfriend, whom she does not remember, have to make her believe that she lives that day over and over. The day she finds out that she had an accident the whole day is a disaster, but what she didn't know is that she would go back to living the same day as soon as she woke up the next morning. An idea for film with conflict would be the story of a teenage baseball player who uses steroids all season long and at the end of season he gets recruited. The problem is that the recruiters don't know he used steroids , so he would have to decide whether to do what's right or cheat his way to success.

My Film Job

There are many different roles when it comes to movie production, but I in particular would like to try being the casting director. I would like to work with actors and help them bring their characters to life. It would help to increase my knowledge on how to work with people and help them improve their character depending on how they have to act. I am very observative, so I think that would be to my advantage on seeing the details that are wrong with the actors.

My Review of the Elephant Man

The Elephant Man is a very complex movie. It has a very important lesson behind it and it helps us realize who the real animals in life are. John Merricks story is very sad and even though he was seen as a beast in the beginning we come to see how he is the purest person there is. The movie ties in many different ideas, but you have to be aware of every sound and image in order to get it. It makes the audience feel all kinds of different things. The anger and hate felt towards Bytes and the night porter for all the pain they caused him only added to the sympathy felt towards Merrick. Overall, I enjoyed watching the movie because it gets me to think about life and how I can take my state of being for granted.

My Name is John Merick

Today, I was rescued by the other freaks after Bytes put  me in the cage with the monkeys. I was very terrified with the monkeys they would not stop  making noise and  the cage was very uncomfortable; I could not sleep. When the freaks opened my cage I was very relieved. I want to go back with Dr. Treves to the hospital. I feel safe there; it feels like home. We walked through the woods all night, but I am finally resting in this boat back to London. The weather is bad but I do not want to be near anyone because they look at me funny. I came to bed and I was very uncomfortable because I didn't have my pillows like I did at the hospital, so I had to sleep on the floor. I hope that tomorrow is a better day and that I get to go home.

Welcome to my Nightmare

One time that I have been really scared is when I went on my trip to Mexico. It was my mom and my sister that were with me and we were having a great time;however, we wanted to go to an amusement park to see how different they were from the ones at home. They ran the system very differently over there but when we got in there were not many scary rides. We went around the whole park and my mom spotted a haunted house attraction in the theme park. I backed out immediately but both my sister and my mother insisted on going in. We got in line and I was scared to death. Every person that would go in would come out screaming. It was our turn to get in and when they shut the door behind us it was pitch black inside. As we began to walk there were demonic noises and banging on the walls. I began to scream and when i was walking I felt someone grab my arm I ran for the door yelling and my mom and sister followed. After that experience I am very frightened of haunted houses and I do not plan to go into them any time soon.

Compassionate Science

If I had the chance to help the world in a way I would make a machine that would make food on its own for the starving children and families all over the world. The machine would never run out of food and it would run on the sun or light. Therefore, as long as there is light, they would never run out of food. This would be very helpful to the people, and the food would be very tasty. Also, the machine would be very practical and environmentally healthy. However, I do not want to focus on any science of that type, but it is very helpful how scientist help out other people. I think it is amazing how they help people because it comes out of their heart and not for any benefit of their own.

The Future

In 100 years from today, things will be very technological. I might not be alive to see what will happen, but I sure hope it gets a lot better than things today. I think that in 100 years the government will take complete control of the people and everything we think or do will be controlled by them. It would be like living in a world of human looking robots. For health problems there would be these beds that scan you and them cure you of whatever you have just so you can be better and go back to work. In terms of work i think the future would go old school and only allow for men and boys to work, making the women and girls stay home and do all the house work. There would be no need for protection, because everyone would be trained from a young age how to fight and survive in whatever the situation may be. In 100 years the world will evolve and become something very different from today.

The Time I Laughed Real Hard

I've had many situations that i've laughed so much for, but there is one that is particularly my favorite. We were celebrating my aunts birthday and she had picked a water themed party. Her house is really big so she has space for a lot of things. For her birthday, she got a jumper with a water slide. We all had our bathing suits on and we were playing a team competion with each other. We all had to be in teams of two. My uncle chose to be with my cousin and she was really small at the time. My uncle is a small man but he is very chunky. We had all gone and it was finally their turn to go . To begin the race you had to go up the latter of the slide then just simply slide down. My uncle was very competitive so when he began he ran first in front of my little cousin. He began to climb the latter and my cousin began right behind him. However, before he made it to the top he slipped all the way down from the latter bringing my cousin right down with him. Nobody worried about checking how they were because we were all to busy laughing . What made things even funnier was that when we got my cousin up instead of crying about being squished by her dad she told him that he was really heavy.

Modern Times Review

Charlie Chaplins Modern Times is  a very good movie. I enjoyed watching it because it was very realistic. Chaplin makes this movie funny so it doesn't get boring. I like how Chaplin presents the movie with a situation that people can relate to and how he demonstrates the life of the poor people. I think that Chaplin reflected on his own life and his struggles when he made this movie. I find it interesting how Chaplin chose to make a silent movie because at the time his movie was released there was already talkies and many other movies had already came out with talking people. However, Chaplin was very successful with his silent movie. i think the message that Chaplin was trying to portray with this movie is how people suffer in the present so why stress about the suffering in the future.

My Thoughts on Bullying

I have never been bullied, nor have I ever bullied anyone. Bullying is very wrong and now that I have grown older and more mature I see that. Around the time that I was in sixth grade I had a friend who thought that he was better than others and to me at that time it seemed very cool. He would boss other kids around and he would never get no for an answer. I think the others were just scared of what he might do to them if they wouldn't listen to whatever he told them to do. Now, I don't understand why  they were scared if he was very scrawny and he wouldn't actually hurt them, well, at least not phisically. Then again, bullying is also an emotional matter which can be as harmful as physical bullying or even more severe. People have many reasons to bully. One reason people bully could be because they have problems at home so they need to hurt someone to feel better about his situation.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is 50 First Dates. This movie is about how a women got into a car accident and forgets her life. Everyone around her knows about her situation and they allow her to live happily even though she is stuck living in one day. The love story in the movie is with a man that makes her fall in love with him all over again every single day. This is my favorite movie because I like the story behind it and I like how it is presented by two of my favorite actors, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore . It shows how you should never give up on something you desire because all the work and struggles you go through pay off. Whenever I watch this movie I have different emotions. At some points I feel sad and other times I feel happy. The movie mixes romance and comedy, which makes the movie interesting and fun to watch.
